Complete Exhaustion! I miss you ;)

This is not the most flattering picture, but I miss this-that feeling of COMPLETE exhaustion from a good long run...
I'm thinking that my days of running are coming to an end...for a few months anyways! I have really enjoyed being able to run through-out my pregnancy but just yesterday I did my usual walk up Foremaster Ridge and ran the length of the top of the hill, and then slowly jogged down and then I reached the bottom of the hill and waited to cross the street, after traffic stopped at the stop light, of course! I continued a ways until all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, which felt just like a cramp when you need to drink more water and then my body just told me "NO MORE CRAZY LADY!" Mentally I was feeling good, but my body seriously was TIRED. My amazing doctor has told me that he has no problem with me staying active and he's all for running, but just yesterday he told me it's going to get harder to run, and that I shouldn't be pushing the limit! Ugg, running is my "me" time..it's when I clear my head and turn up my tunes on my Ipod and love to feel my lungs burning a little! He told me that I can continue walking but it's just crazy to me that the day after my appointment is when my body decides to listen to my doctors advice..hello?! I thought it was mind over matter. I guess I'm just trying to keep my body in shape because I don't want to me in labor again for 56 hours! I want to be able to still indulge and enjoy some foods so I run. I am very proud of myself, and I don't run to impress anyone-but I have gotten some funny stares from people passing by in their cars probably thinking that running and pregnant ladies don't mix! I do it for me. Ok I guess I'm a bit competetive, and I would never want to push myself too hard to the point that it's dangerous. I've only gained 7 pounds my entire pregnancy...and I wish I could say that I only eat healthy foods, and no soda but I can't! The doctor said whatever it is I'm doing, just keep doing it because it's working for me...when I told him that it's mostly chocolate, Diet Coke (with lemon) he just laughs! I just HOPE that I can continue to feel good and stay active, even if it means I gotta hang up my running shoes for a bit!

I'm glad you're listening to your body but I have to say....YOU ARE AMAZING! I'm almost positive this time labor will seem like a dream compared to the first time. I loved DC, chocolate & good and plenty candies my last pregnancy. I gained more than 7 pounds though, guess I should have been running! :)
